Pistol Pit Firing Range

Drake Landing now offers a 10 bay 50 yard pistol pit firing range and a 25 yard auxilary range for handgun shooters. Our Pistol Pit is open to the general public, call for availability. The pistol pit ranges from 3 1/2, 7 1/2, 15, 25 and 50 yards. Small groups by appointment only.

Pistol Pit Rules:
- Any of the following rules that are not followed will be grounds for immediate expulsion from the shooting range.
- No Alcohol - before or during shooting.
- Any time the "Closed" signs are in place - all weapons will be "Safed" and placed on shelf.
- At no time will any loaded weapon be pointed any direction other than down range.
- No weapon should be loaded until in booth.
- Any accidental shots must be reported to range officer.
- Shoot only at your target.
- Notify range officer if two people will be using "dueling" target.
- Hearing and eye protection required at all times.
- No Horseplay.
- No one under 12 years of age allowed on range. 12- 20 year olds must be accompanied by an adult.
- Maximum of two shooters per lane. Maximum of two spectators per lane.

$20.00 an hour per person. Visit comes with one B-16 Target.

B-16 Targets are 1.00 each
B-27 Silhouettes are 2.00 each

PISTOL/RIFLE RANGE MEMBERSHIP
$200.00 A YEAR. INCLUDES 15 HOUR SHOT CARD BRINGING HOURLY FEE TO $13.33 AN HOUR. AVAILABLE IN THE OFFICE.

We stock ammo that is available for purchase in clubhouse. We Do Not rent Handguns.

First time for me at Drake Landing. Had a blast. Only 6.2 miles from the house can be dangerous to the budget as well, but loving that I found this place.

Appreciate the welcoming and friendliness of the group. Was a good group of folks and good to see a bunch of active duty folks (LEO and Mil) enjoying some time off. Many vets as well I think. Thank you for your service.

Pistol stages were very creative and fun. I like having more rounds per stage vs. a couple of the other matches I've participated in.

My first time ever shooting rifle like that, and on a borrowed AR. Appreciate everyone's patience as I shot through the magazines on each stage for the long range. I could really only see the tall white plate on the right. Magnification was your friend on that stage (or good eyesight). And going up those rickety stairs with new hardware in the back was interesting!. The 2nd stage in the pistol pit was really fun. I'll bring my own AR next time and get it dialed in. That was a blast.

Again, thanks to everyone who ran the match and for the coaching. I'm hooked now.
